On last Wednesday, November the 21st The Wine Academy of Spain made a presentation of the II World Congress on Climate Change and Wine in Rioja. Pancho Campo made this presentation which was followed by a conference on the impacts of climate change in the wine industry based on his research.

The presentation was organized by the Regulating Council of the Rioja Designation of Origin at their headquarters. It was attended by numerous winemakers, viticulturists, oenologists and university professors. An important number of local media and journalists also participated in the event.

During more than 90 minutes Pancho presented the programme of the Barcelona event of February the 15th and 16th. He also emphasized the importance of the event, especially in view of the latest data released by the IPCC in Valencia. During his speech Pancho presented scientifical data that shows the current impacts of climate change in vineyards throughout the world.
