Conference on climate change in Gloria Ferrer - 2007-06-13
On July 30th Gloria Ferrer, the prestigious winery situated in Sonoma Valley, will organise a conference and forum about climate change in the wine industry.
On July 30th, The Gloria Ferrer Winery, property of Freixenet, will organise a conference on the impact of climate change in the wine industry. The guest of honour will be Pancho Campo, who will show the results of his studies in this area to over 120 wine producers and viticulturists mostly from Napa and Sonoma. After Pancho Campo’s presentation, a forum will take place where representatives from the University of California Davis, growers associations from Napa and Sonoma, and representatives of prestigious wineries from California will take part.
The Wine Academy of Spain will take part in the conference bringing with it 27 wine makers and wine professionals who have taken part in the trip that the Academy organises every year to California. They will be able to visit the Gloria Ferrer Winery and be present during the conference and the forum. /*
One of the main objectives of this presentation is to promote the World’s II Congress in Climate Change and Wine which the Academy organises in Barcelona on the 15th and 16th of February of 2008.Over 100 wine makers who have confirmed their assistance for the presentation taking part on the 30th of July have also showed interest in the Barcelona event.
